An overview of services offered are listed below as our service descriptions. Clients may receive a variety of service from these groups.
1. Companion or Sitter Service
Services include transportation and escort, meal preparation and serving, and household tasks essential to cleanliness and safety. This does not include any “hands on” personal care services which would require a personal care aide.
2. Home Management
Direct service and/or assistance including but not limited to, shopping, meal planning and preparation and bill paying. (Any Mi Casa staff assisting client with financial matters will be personally bonded through the company.)
3. Housekeeping Services
Activities related to the upkeep cleanliness of the home. This can include laundry, changing linens, trash disposal, cleaning and other light housekeeping services.
4. Medically Related Activities
Direct services, planning and overseeing clients activities which may include observing and reporting on changes in client’s condition, planning/transporting/accompanying clients on doctor, dentist or therapy visits; medication assistance which may include picking up prescriptions, reminding/ assisting/monitoring clients self-administered medication; documenting food and/or liquid intake and output; possibly other medically related activities.
(Some of these services may require staff which possesses professional training and/or licenses particularly if the client is determined to be medically frail or compromised.)
5. Personal Care Services
Personal care services are direct assistance for the client’s physical needs which may include bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transfers, ambulation, eating and possibly more as required and/or requested. This may include medically related activities.
6. Transportation and Escort Services
Planning/transporting/accompanying clients on excursions outside their residence for purposes such as appointments, entertainment, exercise, recreation, shopping or social activities. Mi Casa and Mi Casa staff do not provide vehicles for transportation. If the client’s vehicle is used, the staff person must have written authorization from the client on the Mi Casa authorization form.
7. Respite Care
Services provided in relief of the normal family member or other caregiver. This agreement may be PRN (as needed), short-term or on a regular scheduled basis.
